Michigan (8-2) will play Florida Gulf Coast (4-7) on Monday at 7pm with the game to be televised on BTN.com. Florida Gulf Coast is out of the Atlantic Sun conference. The leading scorer for the Eagles is former Wolverine Reed Baker who averages 11.6 points per game. Derrick O’Neil averages 11.1 points per game.
Florida Gulf Coast has faced some tough opponents in the non conference schedule as they have lost to Kansas, Butler, and Florida.
Michigan has a quick turnaround from the Oakland game on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how Coach Beilein continues to mix and match the line ups. Against Oakland he had Stu Douglass and Zack Novak on the court together for the first time that I remember. Obviously adding Laval Lucas-Perry to the mix gives the Wolverines a lot more flexibility. Lucas-Perry gives Michigan another quality three point shooter. Lucas-Perry is also a good ball handler and a good defender. He seemed to blend into the rotation seamlessly against Oakland.
