Norfolk State Preview

Michigan’s next game is Tuesday, November 25th against Norfolk State (1-1). The game will be televised on The Big Ten Network, tip off is 8:30pm.

Michigan UCLA BasketballNorfolk state is from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). They were picked to finish 4th in the MEAC. Their best players are senior wing Corey Lyons, who was a pre season All MEAC first team selection, and senior guard Michael Deloach, who was a pre season All MEAC second team selection. Deloach is coming off a career high 32 points in a loss to William & Mary and is averaging 25.5 points per game.

Norfolk State opened the season with an 81-74 win over Longwood and then lost 74-58 against William & Mary. This is not meant to take anything away from the Spartans but, this will be a nice break in the schedule after facing UCLA and Duke on back to back nights in New York.

Michigan enters the game with a 3-1 record and ahead of the pace for the 21 wins I predicted. Now, this is a game they have to win.  I do expect that they will come out looking sharp and build off all the positives that came out of playing in the 2K Sports Classic.

This is one of 5 games they have left before Laval Lucas-Perry will make his highly anticipated Michigan debut.

Laval Lucas-Perry makes his debut OFFICIALLY for the neutral-Site game against Oakland (at the Palace of Auburn Hills [Auburn Hills, MI]), which is December 20th, 2008. On another note, do you want to see the UNCUT, UNCENSORED, RAW, UNCOOKED DVD-cut of the stuff that didn’t make it “officially” on the MaizeRage 2008-09 Season Preview Newsletter??? Or can you wait, until I receive the email from Craig, in which I will then forward to you (and the two other people) via attachment? I am comfortable either way. Peace.

p.s. predicts that Michigan will win 63 and Norfolk State 55:

I know he debuts vs. Oakland at the Palace, I will be there, I can’t wait to finally see him in the line up.
